Sometimes, luck comes just as you need it. And this was exactly the case on one of our visits to the glacier beach beneath Jökulsárlón, Iceland. An insane sunset was beginning to form, and we all felt our hearts starting to pound hard. If there were only one place I could visit in Iceland, this would be it. Those glaciers, seeming infinite in number and variety, look just like diamonds laying on a black velvet cushion. We were anxious to get as many good images as we could on this fantastic opportunity, but sometimes I'd just stop running around and simply look. I'd gaze at this unreal reality all around me, and almost not believe I was there. For a nature photographer, being in a magical place such as this brings about very stong feelings, and I won't forget the feelings I had on this evening.
If you wish to experience and shoot this magical location, among many other incredible icy sceneries, you're welcome to join my upcoming 'Land of Ice' Iceland winter workshop taking place January 2013. Please click the link for more details, and contact me with any questions about the workshop.
