Slimy Siesta by erezmarom Slimy Siesta by erezmarom
Strawberry poison dart frog (Oophaga pumilio), Boca del Drago morph. I got this shot when it was resting - a rare moment indeed :-/

If you've ever wanted to learn how to shoot these unbelievable animals, now you can! Registry for my 'Macro and More' July 2012 Costa Rica workshop is now open - join and learn first hand from me, in a stunning environment with tons of incredible poison frog species (among others), in one of the the absolute best macro locations in the world! This trip is my baby and I intend to make it an awesome experience for all attendants.

If you're interested in the workshop and have any questions about any aspect of it what so ever, please don't hesitate to contact me, by private message or email: erezmarom[at]hotmail.com

Do the frogs eyes react the same way to light (dilatation) as ours do ?
Because in your pictures, the light always seem pretty good and strong, and the frogs have deep and totally dark eyes... :)

I supposed they do.
All these images were shot under poor lighting - some of the exposures reached as much as 10 seconds...

Oh, you're right, I had almost forgotten you make long exposure shots for those frogs... ;-)
