Hello all!
I'm super-excited to announce my first ever
'Land of Ice' Iceland winter workshop, set to happen this coming January in south Iceland.
The workshop is co-guided by renouned Icelandic mountaineer and pro photographer
Skarphedinn Thrainsson, and during its 8 days you will experience what are arguably the best raw natural spots in Europe, and perhaps some of the best winter sceneries in the world!
To get an idea of the kind of images you can expect to get on the workshop, see my full Iceland winter gallery
here.
A bit about the workshop:
Just south of the Arctic circle lies a magical island - the land of fire and ice, the ever mesmerizing Icelend.
Iceland in winter is a very different place to Iceland in summer. Sub-zero temperatures, bone-chilling winds and harsh conditions are prevalent, but the photographic rewards are accordingly immense. From ice fields as far as the eye can see, through glaciers and blue ice caves to the mind boggling northern lights, winter is THE season for photography in Iceland, for those who dare.
Join professional nature photographer Erez Marom and Icelandic mountaineer/pro photographer Skarphedinn Thrainsson (Skarpi) for the photographic journey of a lifetime. This 8-day photo workshop will take you to out-of-this-world sceneries, including pitch-black volcanic beaches adorned with countelss diamond-like glaciers, hidden crystal-blue ice caves, snow-covered volcanoes, frozen lakes and colorful lagoons. We'll cross icy rivers, explore the insides of immense glaciers, take a monster-truck ride into the depths of the frozen land and behold the incredible Aurora Borealis.
The workshop isn't only very diverse and full of excitement, it's also the
most affordable I've ever seen. You don't have to go bankrupt since winter is a relatively inexpensive season to travel in Iceland. Rest assured - the affordable price doesn't mean we'll compromise on anything: the hotels are wornderful, the food filling and traditional, and the activities - well, let's say we'll have our share of adrenaline!
Safety and convenience are also well taken care of, and so you can join without worries. Physical demands are low, apart from the need to withstand cold weather.
Both Skarpi and myself are fluent english speakers, and we also speak other languages (just ask!) so we'll be able to communicate easily. This also means you'll get your money's worth in post-processing and composition lessons throughout the workshop, as well as great fun with a terrific bunch of people, all having the same passion.
To register for the workshop, all you need to do is go to the
workshop webpage, check out the itinerary and details and then
contact me via email or private message. A small deposit is needed to secure your spot and that's it!
These workshops are truly my babies. I ALWAYS make sure all my clients have the best time possible and get the best shots. Your happiness is my goal.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the workshop. I'll gladly resolve any issue and advise you in equipment decisions and other problems.
I'd really love to see you in Iceland - it is truly an unbelievable place to experience first hand, a journey of a lifetime.
